The delegation of the Serbian People’s Party Youth, led by Dusan Markovic, Deputy Secretary General of the SPP, laid the wreath today at the Serdar Janka Vukotica tomb at the at the New Cemetery in Belgrade, marking the occasion of 99th anniversary since Mojkovacka battle.
– Serdar Janko Vukotic, defying the enemy, with its 6500 heroes, defended the retreat of the Serbian army through Albania and saved it from certain disappearance. That is why Mojkovac is the foundation and the connection of the past and future relations between Serbia and Montenegro – Markovic said.
He pointed out that the Serbian People’s Party will advocate for the protection of interests and for the strong integration of the Serbian people in Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the entire territory which, historically, is part of a unique cultural and ethnic space of the Serbian people.
– Just like Serdar Janko Vukotic, we will persistently and decisively, fight for the preservation of tradition, historical heritage and national identity of the Serbian people, believing that it is the way to ensure the future of the Serbian statehood. As the old saying reminds, “If you do not know where you are coming from, you can not know where you are going” – Markovic said.
